20 Tips to achieve a Happy Life

1. Free yourself from negative people. – Spend time with nice people who are smart, driven and likeminded.  Relationships should help you, not hurt you.  Surround yourself with people who reflect the person you want to be.  Choose friends who you are proud to know, people you admire, who love and respect you – people who make your day a little brighter simply by being in it.  Life is too short to spend time with people who suck the happiness out of you.  When you free yourself from negative people, you free yourself to be YOU – and being YOU is the only way to truly live. 
   
2. Let go of those who are already gone. – The sad truth is that there are some people who will only be there for you as long as you have something they need.  When you no longer serve a purpose to them, they will leave.  The good news is, if you tough it out, you’ll eventually weed these people out of your life and be left with some great people you can count on.  We rarely lose friends and lovers, we just gradually figure out who our real ones are.  So when people walk away from you, let them go.   Your destiny is never tied to anyone who leaves you.  It doesn’t mean they are bad people; it just means that their part in your story is over.
3. Give people you don’t know a fair chance. – When you look at a person, any person, remember that everyone has a story.  Everyone has gone through something that has changed them, and forced them to grow.  Every passing face on the street represents a story every bit as compelling and complicated as yours.  We meet no ordinary people in our lives.  If you give them a chance, everyone has something amazing to offer.  So appreciate the possibility of new relationships as you naturally let go of old ones that no longer work.  Trust your judgment.  Embrace new relationships, knowing that you are entering into unfamiliar territory.  Be ready to learn, be ready for a challenge, and be ready to meet someone that might just change your life forever.
4. Show everyone kindness and respect. – Treat everyone with kindness and respect, even those who are rude to you – not because they are nice, but because you are.  There are no boundaries or classes that define a group of people that deserve to be respected.  Treat everyone with the same level of respect you would give to your grandfather and the same level of patience you would have with your baby brother.  People will notice your kindness.
5. Accept people just the way they are. – In most cases it’s impossible to change them anyway, and it’s rude to try.  So save yourself from needless stress.  Instead of trying to change others, give them your support and lead by example.
6. Encourage others and cheer for them. – Having an appreciation for how amazing the people around you are leads to good places – productive, fulfilling, peaceful places.  So be happy for those who are making progress.  Cheer for their victories.  Be thankful for their blessings, openly.  What goes around comes around, and sooner or later the people you’re cheering for will start cheering for you.
7. Be your imperfectly perfect self. – In this crazy world that’s trying to make you like everyone else, find the courage to keep being your awesome self.  And when they laugh at you for being different, laugh back at them for being the same.  Spend more time with those who make you smile and less time with those who you feel pressured to impress.  Be your imperfectly perfect self around them.  We are not perfect for everyone, we are only perfect for those select few people that really take the time to get to know us and love us for who we really are.  And to those select few, being our imperfectly perfect self is what they love about us.
8. Forgive people and move forward. – Don’t live your life with hate in your heart. You will end up hurting yourself more than the people you hate.  Forgiveness is not saying, “What you did to me is okay.”  It is saying, “I’m not going to let what you did to me ruin my happiness forever.”  Forgiveness is the remedy.  It doesn’t mean you’re erasing the past, or forgetting what happened.  It means you’re letting go of the resentment and pain, and instead choosing to learn from the incident and move on with your life.  Remember, the less time you spend hating the people who hurt you, the more time you’ll have to love the people who love you.
9. Do little things every day for others. – Sometimes those little things occupy the biggest part of their hearts.  You can’t be everything to everyone, but you can be everything to a few people.  Decide who these people are in your life and treat them like royalty.
10. Pay attention to who your real friends are. – As we grow up, we realize it becomes less important to have more friends and more important to have real ones.  Remember, life is kind of like a party.  You invite a lot of people, some leave early, some stay all night, some laugh with you, some laugh at you, and some show up really late.  But in the end, after the fun, there are a few who stay to help you clean up the mess.  And most of the time, they aren’t even the ones who made the mess.  These people are your real friends in life.  They are the ones who matter most.
11. Always be loyal. – True love and real friendship aren’t about being inseparable. These relationships are about two people being true to each other even when they are separated.  When it comes to relationships, remaining faithful is never an option, but a priority.  Loyalty is everything.
12. Stay in better touch with people who matter to you. – In human relationships distance is not measured in miles, but in affection.  Two people can be right next to each other, yet miles apart.  So don’t ignore someone you care about, because lack of concern hurts more than angry words.  Stay in touch with those who matter to you.  Not because it’s convenient, but because they’re worth the extra effort.  Remember, you don’t need a certain number of friends, just a number of friends you can be certain of.  Paying attention to these people is a priority.
13. Keep your promises and tell the truth. – If you say you’re going to do something, DO IT!  If you say you’re going to be somewhere, BE THERE!  If you say you feel something, MEAN IT!  If you can’t, won’t, and don’t, then DON’T LIE.  It’s always better to tell people the truth up front.  Don't play games with people’s heads and hearts.  Don’t tell half-truths and expect people to trust you when the full truth comes out; half-truths are no better than lies.  Remember, love and friendship don’t hurt.  Lying, cheating and screwing with people’s feelings and emotions hurts.  Never mess with someone’s feelings just because you’re unsure of yours.  Always be open and honest.
14. Give what you want to receive. – Don’t expect what you are not willing to give.  Start practicing the golden rule.  If you want love, give love.  If you want friends, be friendly.  If you want money, provide value.  It works.  It really is this simple.
    
15. Say what you mean and mean what you say. – Give the people in your life the information they need, rather than expecting them to know the unknowable.  Information is the grease that keeps the engine of communication functioning.  Start communicating clearly.  Don’t try to read other people’s minds, and don’t make other people try to read yours.  Most problems, big and small, within a family, friendship, or business relationship, start with bad communication.
16. Allow others to make their own decisions. – Do not judge others by your own past.  They are living a different life than you are.  What might be good for one person may not be good for another.  What might be bad for one person might change another person’s life for the better.  Allow people to make their own mistakes and their own decisions.
17. Talk a little less, and listen more. – Less advice is often the best advice.  People don’t need lots of advice, they need a listening ear and some positive reinforcement.  What they want to know is often already somewhere inside of them.  They just need time to think, be and breathe, and continue to explore the undirected journeys that will eventually help them find their direction.
18. Leave petty arguments alone. – Someone else doesn’t have to be wrong for you to be right.  There are many roads to what’s right.  And most of the time it just doesn’t matter that much.   
19. Ignore unconstructive, hurtful commentary. – No one has the right to judge you.  They might have heard your stories, but they didn’t feel what you were going through.  No matter what you do, there will always be someone who thinks differently.  So concentrate on doing what you know in your heart is right.  What most people think and say about you isn’t all that important.  What is important is how you feel about yourself.
20. Pay attention to your relationship with yourself. – One of the most painful things in life is losing yourself in the process of loving others too much, and forgetting that you are special too.  When was the last time someone told you that they loved you just the way you are, and that what you think and how you feel matters?  When was the last time someone told you that you did a good job, or took you someplace, simply because they know you feel happy when you’re there?  When was the last time that ‘someone’ was YOU?

1. Text/chat/calls you late at night.

There are 24hours in a day. If your guy always or most of the time communicates with you around 11pm or 12mn, then he is just doing it on his spare time. Its either he is bored, horny or both, and is looking for some tease. If he really likes you, he should give you a text or call during the day especially in the morning. Who doesn't want to receive a pleasant good morning from someone?


2. You guys just met and he calls you babe, baby or other common endearment.

These common endearment is the easiest way to make you feel special without having to bother memorizing your name.

The main reason for no.2 is this. Aside from those common endearment, you will be addressed by a wrong name. Probably some woman he met the other night.

Being praised feels good especially to women but if a guy praises more about your body then he is only after it. These type of men know how to make a woman feel good. He would always say how beautiful or sexy you are to flatter you.


5. He is pushy about getting into physical.

He can't keep his hands off you especially on your first date. If he's a player, he'll quickly make his sexual intentions clear and won't be apologetic if you tell him it's too soon. His persuasion is more likely to come in the form of sweet talking and compliments about how much he wants you.

He may start a conversation asking how your life is but that is it. He wont bother go into details about it since he is not interested. Players don't wanna be a part of a womans life because they don't want to be in a serious relationship. They hate commitment.

He doesn't want to take you out in public. Usually he only invites you out to somewhere private and alone. He doesn't want to be seen in public dating because he might get caught by someone he knows or he will look unavailable to other women.


8. Most of his facebook friends are attractive women.

If you check his Facebook most of his friends are females, especially attractive ones. It strongly suggest that he wants to surround himself with good looking women. Probably he already slept with some of the women on his friend list. Don't be one of them.

Iphone4: Disable Winterboard Theme using Safe Mode

I just discovered that I can customize themes for my jailbroken iPhone4 using winterboard app. To my excitement, I downloaded themes right away in Cydia. I change one theme to another and it screwed up my phones interface. When I restarted my iPhone, it ask for my passcode. However, the numpad are still screwed up and I can't type the correct passcode to unlock my phone. It disabled my phone twice so I searched the internet for any useful tips to bypass passcode. All the blogs and videos only shows me to reset my iphone and it will wipe out my data ─ and its a hassle for me because I have to jailbreak (with an iOS5) my iphone again!

I tried this video from youtube about steps to bypass iphone's passcode/password without resetting to factory default. 

All I can do with my phone was just play music and when I tap on the icons below, especially on settings, nothing happened. 

Good thing I discovered that I can run my iPhone to a safe mode by opening the dock above (slide finger at the upper part of your iPhone's screen). You can find an option there about power: reboot, power off, safe mode and lock. I selected safe mode and the winterboard theme on my iPhone was disabled and I was able to type my passcode to unlock my phone. Yay!

FHM: Bikini Heaven Beach Party at Boracay

Me and my friends went to Boracay last March 7, 2011 for our vacation. After 3 days and 2 nights, we came back to Cebu. We we're excited to upload our photos from Boracay so we ended up waiting for the photos to be uploaded. To my surprise, I saw the poster that was posted on my newsfeeds in facebook about the upcoming bikini party of FHM in Boracay in March 19. It made me so sad because I wanted to see in person my idols.

It was their 11th anniversary celebration. FHM held their first ever Bikini Heaven beach party in Boracay, station 2 on March 19 and a pre-party on the 18th. Even though the party on the 19th had a PHP500 fee per person, the pre-party on the 18th was for free. I think that's satisfying already. Seeing the hottest FHM babes and celebrities in one place.

I was hoping to meet some FHM babes especially my idols, Paulene So and Ellen Adarna.

Too late for regrets. I am hoping for another spectacular event like FHM's Bikini Heaven Beach Party at Boracay

I will surely join next time.

That was one hot Boracay Beach party that I missed.

Angel Locsin vs Cristine Reyes on FHM Sexiest Women 2010

Angel Locsin won this year's Sexiest Women by FHM Philippines 2010. 2nd place on the title is Cristine Reyes who was last year's FHM Sexiest Women 2009. Cristine Reyes record last year, 227380 votes was beaten by Angel Locsin 284156 votes.

For me both ladies are hot and sexy but this years theme fits Angel Locsin perfectly. Cristine Reyes as 2nd place is fine. But I didn't expect Marian Rivera to be on the top 3. But she was leading in the first 2 voting updates of the FHM Sexiest Woman 2010 Poll, but Marian Rivera dropped to 2nd in the June 4 partial tally.

Namie Amuro is Cokes Zero's new Endorser

Japanese Sensation, Namie Amuro is Coke Zero's new endorser not only in Japan but in other countries too...including Philippines. I saw her billboard in our town and was amazed to see her photo. She is so cute and stunning. I was a fan of her music video "Come" and "Want me, want me."

Namie Amuro is a Japanese singer-entertainer. Also an actress who was once said to be the "Teen Queen of Pop Music". Namie Amuro was born on 20 September 1977.

I saw Namie Amuro's music video for her commercial for Coke Zero entitled "Wild", her moves are intriguing. The beat of her music is still awesome like most of her music videos.

Twilight Saga: Eclipse Trailer

The third film of the Twilight Saga released their trailer for Eclipse. Twilight fans are waiting for this trailer to come out.

I was a little bit disappointed when I watched the trailer. They didn't place the scene where Edward, Bella and Jacob are inside the tent. I really love that part of the book.

Also after hearing Jacob telling Bella that he's gonna fight for her until her heart stops beating and that scene where Jacob said to Bella, "I'm inlove with you...I want you to pick me instead of him" really made my day. Some of my favorite lines in the movie. Rawr to all Team Jacob out there.

I really do hope that the 3rd film will turn out great...hope its as good as the book.

Yuri has H1N1 Virus

Yuri Kwon from Girls Generation (SNSD) was diagnosed last March 5 with H1N1 Virus, commonly called as the Swine Flu.

Yuri had colds symptoms the night before she was diagnosed. Good thing she visited the hospital for some test. She immediately cancelled all her appointments and rested at her house.

Because of this, Girls Generation (SNSD) have been performing as 8 members last weekend. Luckily Sooyoung's been performing some of her part in "Oh!" for the meantime.

According to some of Yuri's representatives, shes feeling much better and will visit again to see if she completely recovered from H1N1. Too bad that she's sick but at least she could rest. Imagine how busy they are doing performance, tv shows, promotions, radio stations and more.
Its great to hear that Yuri's recovering fast. Get well soon because SNSD cant be SNSD if there are only 8 angels.

Alice in Wonderland 2010

I just watched Alice in Wonderland with my friend at the cinema today. It was amazing.

Disney's movies are becoming better and better and their movies aren't just for kids anymore. Although I find the movie kind of creepy at first but overall its great. Alice in Wonderland with a Gothic twist. Tim Burton rocks.

When Alice entered wonderland and drank that bottle with "drink me" sign, it confused me when she shrunk and had another smaller size dress inside. Where did that came from? And its so stretchable, when she ate that little cake and become gigantic. I thought it will tear apart just like Hulk's clothes.

Wonderland environment becomes creepy, but it fits the scenario of their "dark days."
Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter was cool. I thought he looked creepy in the adds and trailers but he is actually a sweet character. I also love his hat.

My favorite character in the movie was the Red Queen. She's the villain but I find her character very funny and cute. The Red Queen has an enormous head and has some attitude. Her favorite line is "off with their heads!" She really has some issues with heads. As for her sister, the White Queen, she is also...weird and funny. I dont know, maybe all in Wonderland are wierd.

Also...jabawokky was killed so easily. He could just fly and kill everyone else like what he did before.

I really enjoyed being a Cleric. They have high damage attacks, AoE skills, great defense and heals. Damager and can be a support at the same time. Clerics are also cute especially their mounts...sadly mounts weren't applied in Closed Beta Testing.

Crawling in My Skin at the Ice Dancing Competition 2010 Olympics

Winter Olympics has always been a spectacle to watch. Over the many years we mesmerized over the spectacular and dangerous sports that winter olympics has offered to us. This year we were treated to a new and exciting experience as the ice dancing routine strayed away from there traditional music to try a more modern tune.

The most memorable of which is the routine of british siblings John and Sinead Kerr of Scotland. The couple danced into the tune of “crawling in my skin” by Linkin Park. The audience was enthralled by their performance and it left a huge impact in the sport of Ice Dancing. After the routine Sinead said “We always thought we wanted to push skating forward and into the future and encourage a lot of young people to do it”.

There were also other couples who embraced modern music and integrated it in there routine. Among those were Taavi Rand and Irina Shtork of Estonia who danced to Metallica's “Nothing Else Matters” and Nora hoffman and Maxim Zavozin who danced to Hush Hush by the Pussycat Dolls.

Apple iPad Touch, the name may sound funny because of the word pad (like napkin) but this apple product can make you change your ways in net surfing, and it doesn't only stop to that. iPad's features are countless. Aside from surfing the net, iPad can be fit for gaming, video streaming, view and share photo, calendar, map viewing, and my personal favorite you can read books in it. Very similar to just flipping pages.

Because of its large and high resolution screen, its perfect for everything and similar to iPod Touch and iPhone it also has touch and gravity sensors. This type of product is one missing piece to their puzzle.

I was about to log in to my friendster account when I notice this girl in the "Most Popular" section. Her name was Misa Campo. I opened her profile and was shocked to see such beauty. I really loved her eyes, and I cant tell if her look is seductive or sweet but she has the most gorgeous face I've ever seen. Also I never knew she was a model until I searched her name if it was really her because many profiles in friendster especially those who are drop dead gorgeous are fake accounts or posers. Maybe it wasnt really her. Too bad. I really wanted to meet her in person and to my discovery, I was shocked to find out that she is a half filipina. Well maybe most mixed blood filipina's are beautiful.
